Trattoria I Masenini

We hosted our wedding dinner at I Masenini and it was absolutely perfect. Angela and the entire team created the most wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant and the food was delicious. We started with an aperitif and finger food on one side of the restaurant and then continued with seated dinner at a big table in the second room. The food was of amazing quality, beautifully presented and just so yummy. Angela is a great host and took care of every little detail in planning, preparation and on the day. She made sure that we did not have to worry about a single thing. I can only recommend hosting a special event at I Masenini. Needless to say that we will always cherish this evening and come back very soon. Thank you so much for this special night, it was everything we wished for!

Great restaurant in the very heart of Verona city centre, very close to the Arena and convenient also for the opera festival. They specialise in traditional Italian cuisine with a modern touch. Great food, amazing location, vast and fine wines selection. Definitely recommended.

We had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria I Masenini, and we can say without hesitation that it was a truly exceptional experience, one that stays with us forever and makes you want to talk about it right away. From the very beginning, you could sense great attention to detail and a genuine passion for cooking. The dishes were simply fantastic: not only delicious, but also elegantly and carefully presented, without ever being overbearing. Each course was a perfect balance of flavor, quality ingredients, and creativity, capable of surprising and satisfying. The wines deserve a special mention: we relied on their advice, and it was absolutely worth it. The pairings were sublime, expertly and sensitively crafted, and perfectly complemented each dish. Thanks to them, we also discovered Barolo Chimato from the Pio Cesare winery, a truly formidable wine that made the dinner even more special. The service was impeccable: attentive, professional, and at the same time warm, making guests feel at ease without ever being intrusive. The passion and dedication of the entire staff is clearly evident, contributing to the welcoming and refined atmosphere. In conclusion, it was a unique experience in every way: the quality of the food, the pairings, the service, and the atmosphere. A restaurant truly worth trying and one we recommend without hesitation. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

Overall, a pleasant experience, but some details could be addressed. The welcome was cold, and there were generally no smiles throughout the service. The menu selection was good. The entree was pleasant, but when a dish not chosen on the menu is served, as pleasant as it is to receive it, I need to be informed of what you're offering. Instead, nothing was said, just the plate was put down. Overall, the ingredients were good, well-prepared, and beautifully plated. Prices are a bit high, especially considering what was mentioned above. Still, recommended.

The food was all good but quite variable, some parts were excellent and some a bit lacking. For instance I found the pork belly to be a bit on the tough side and the skin a bit chewy. The fillet was ordered sangue but came rare. The bread was a big disappointment for me. The rolls tasted industrial, reheated from frozen, although I think they were actually made on the premises, Service was friendly but slow. Four courses took 2.5 hours.
